Stolen Vehicle Related to Break and Enter Investigation
The Windsor Police Service Major Crime Unit is actively investigating two incidents that are believed to be related and seeking any information that may help identify multiple involved suspects.
On Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 10:00 pm, patrol officers attended the 600 block of Church Avenue for a report of an incident that resulted in a red 2011 Kia Soul being stolen. The vehicle has since been recovered, however the suspects have yet to be identified.
It was reported that two suspects, a male and female, were observed attending the 600 block of Church Street in an older model sedan, possibly silver in colour. Very shortly after their arrival, an incident occurred resulting in the theft of the Kia. The vehicle was last seen fleeing westbound on Wyandotte Street West from Church Street at a high rate of speed.
The suspects are described as;
Suspect #1: Male, black, late teens - early 20's, approximately 5'11, untrimmed mustache, curly black hair, wearing a red "Chicago Bulls" jersey (#3), dark coloured shorts and high top basketball shoes.
Suspect #2: Female, black, late teens, approximately 5'7, long black hair, wearing dark clothing
On Friday, June 18, 2021, at 1:10 am, patrol officers responded to the 7600 block of Tecumseh Road East for a report of a break and enter at a business involving a red Kia Soul and 3 - 4 suspects.
Officers arrived in the area where the suspects had already fled in the vehicle. Through investigation, this is believed to the same red Kia Soul stolen from the 600 block of Church Street. The vehicle will likely have damage to the rear end and at least one tire, caused during this incident. It was reported the vehicle fled eastbound on Tecumseh Road East until at least Lauzon Road. The vehicles next direction of travel is unknown at this time.
The business received extensive damage and several pairs of eyeglass and sunglass frames were taken.
The suspects in this incident are described as;
Suspect #1: Male, white, "Chicago Bulls" jersey (#1), black baseball hat with white "Toronto Blue Jays" bird symbol, black pants and white sneakers
Suspect #2: Female, white, black hair, black sweater, jeans, black and white sneakers
Suspect #3: Female, white, black baseball hat, hair worn in a bun, wearing a black sweater and camo pants
Suspect #4: Wearing all black
The Windsor Police Service Major Crime Unit is seeking any information that may help identified any of the suspects involved or locate the suspect vehicle. Residents and businesses in the area of both occurrences are being requested to check any surveillance cameras for possible evidence.
