OPP Looking for Public's Assistance in Relation to a Break and Enter in Tecumseh

The OPP Property Crime Unit is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male and female responsible for breaking into an apartment building in the 11000 block of Tecumseh Road, in the Town of Tecumseh.

This occurred on January 13th.  A male and female entered the apartment building and several items were taken from the maintenance room area. 

The parties are described as follows:

Female:  White female in her early 30’s.  She has blonde hair. She wore a black hoodie and a ¾ length white winter coat and black gloves.  She carried a black, large oversized shoulder purse.

Male: White male in his 20’s.  He was wearing a black puffy coat, black hoodie and gloves.

Over $1,400.00 worth of items were taken.

Tecumseh OPP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the below male suspect in relation to a theft from motor vehicle. This occurred on February 2, 2020 in the 3200 block of Moynahan, in the Town of Tecumseh.

Windsor Police Service Major Crimes Unit Are Investigating A Report of Shots Fired on February 2, 2020

Windsor Police Service Major Crime Unit is investigating a report of shots fired in the area of the 2900 block of Walker Road on Sunday, February 2nd, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Police initially were advised that a white Chrysler Pacifica had gun shot damage to it.  It was parked and unoccupied at the time of the incident.

A second call was dispatched concerning a red Mazda that had what is believed to be a bullet hole.  Through investigation, the driver of the Mazda is believed to have been travelling in the area of Walker Road where the first incident occurred.

The above two incidents are believed to be related.  It is unknown at this time which vehicle, if either, was the target of the incident. 

The Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking any information with respect to these incidents. 

If you saw or heard anything in relation to these incidents, police are asking that you contact police.  Also, if you have any video surveillance in the area during the above time frame, police are encouraging people to check recordings and report any findings to police.

Windsor Police Investigate Knifepoint Robbery

The Major Crime Branch is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect in relation to a knifepoint robbery investigation.

On Friday January 31, 2020 at approximately 11:30 pm, patrol officers responded to a business located the 1000 block of Lauzon Road for a report of a robbery. It was reported that a male suspect entered the restaurant, brandished a knife, and demanded money from an employee. The suspect took a quantity of Canadian currency and fled the store on foot.

No injuries were reported in relation to the robbery.

The Forensic Identification Unit attended and processed the scene.

The suspect is described as a male white, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoody, a dark coloured mask over his face, a greyish plaid jacket and jeans.

OPP SEEK PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN BREAK AND ENTER ON CONCESSION 11 IN THE TOWN OF TECUMSEH

On December 23, 2019, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter on Concession 11 in the Town of Tecumseh.

A member of the household arriving home, observed a silver Dodge leaving the family’s driveway at a high rate of speed. Upon entering the roadway, the suspect vehicle struck the culvert causing considerable damage to the vehicle’s front end. The vehicle fled north on Concession 11 to County Road 42 and was last
observed heading north on Banwell Road.

The home was found to have been ransacked and several items stolen. More alarming was that the family’s two dogs appeared to have been poisoned and required urgent medical assistance. 

The OPP has obtained surveillance video of the persons of interest and their vehicle that was taken from another location prior to this break-in.  Anyone able to identify these individuals is asked to contact

TECUMSEH OPP REQUESTING ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING A SUSPECT INVOLVED IN A BREAK AND ENTER

Tecumseh OPP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a break and enter that occurred on January 14th, 2020. A male suspect forced entry into the pizzeria business in the 1600 block of Lesperance Road and stole a Casio cash register.

The male is described as a tall, slim white male. He was wearing a winter jacket with a fur lining around the hood. He had on dark pants and light coloured running shoes. He also was wearing a baseball cap.

OPP REQUEST THE PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN RELATION TO A BREAK AND ENTER IN ESSEX

Sometime between December 12th and December 21st, 2019, an outbuilding was entered into in the 2800 block of County Rd. 20, in the Town of Essex.

The following items were taken:

  1. A green 2007 Bombardier Cana ATV - 4wd

  2. A clubcar golfcart with lighting and off road tires. It is a 4 seater with a convertible flatbed

  3. A blue Impex fiberglass kayak with paddle

  4. A red Toro Lawnmower ride on zero turn with a 54” deck and bag attachment

Various other tools and property were also taken.

POLICE SEEK WITNESSES IN SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

Case #: 2020-2249

Police Seek Witnesses in Serious Motor Vehicle Collision

On Tuesday January 7, 2020, at approximately 5:15 pm, patrol officers were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on South Service Road near Lauzon Parkway.

Officers arrived and determined the collision occurred between a black Ford pickup truck travelling eastbound and a black Hyundai travelling westbound.

Emergency personnel were on scene and transported the male driver of the Hyundai to hospital with life-threatening-injuries.  Two other passengers of the Hyundai were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  No other injuries were reported.

The Accident Reconstruction Unit and Forensic Identification Branch attended and processed the scene.

The matter remains under active investigation.  Any persons who witnessed the collision or may have witnessed these vehicles driving in the area prior to the collision are encouraged to contact us with any information.
