The Essex County OPP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying  the suspect  wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday May 4th at 11:38 p.m. at a retail business in the 12000 block of Tecumseh Road East in the Town of Tecumseh.

 The suspect brandished a knife at an employee while stealing currency and store merchandise.

 The suspect is described as a 6 foot tall, 200 lbs white male wearing a black mask and a black hoodie depicting a grey “Zoo York” logo.

The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance identifying five suspects wanted in connection with a weekend stabbing.

Shortly after 3 a.m. on April 27, 2025, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 900 block of Hall Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year-old man suffering from serious injuries.

Through investigation, officers learned that two suspects had entered a convenience store in the 900 block of Wyandotte Street East and stole items before fleeing. The victim, a patron at the store, followed the suspects outside and confronted them. He was subsequently beaten and stabbed.

Major Crimes investigators have obtained video surveillance footage showing the suspects in the area at the time of the incident. The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1: White male wearing a purple Playboy sweater with a white hood, black pants, and a white mask.

Suspect 2: Individual wearing a black hoodie and black pants, with a red bandana used as a mask.

Suspect 3: Dark-haired individual wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.

Suspect 4: Male wearing a black, grey, or green zip-up sweater, black pants, black socks, and black slides.

Suspect 5: Black male wearing a white hoodie, grey pants, and dark shoes.

Investigators are asking businesses and residents in the area to check their surveillance and dashcam footage between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on April 27 for any evidence that may assist in the investigation.

The Windsor Police Service Major Crimes Unit are searching for a suspect following a smash-and-grab robbery at a mall jewelry store.

 Shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday the 4th of April, 2025, officers responded to a robbery at a jewelry store located inside a mall in the 7600 block of Tecumseh Road East.

A 6’ tall slim white male suspect wearing a face covering entered the store, used a weapon to smash a glass showcase, and stole an estimated $50,000 worth of jewelry. The suspect then ran to a black GMC Sierra in the parking lot and fled the area prior to police arrival.

 The store employees did not sustain any physical injuries.

 At the time of the robbery, the suspect wore a blue scarf over his face, a black baseball cap, a black hooded sweater, orange and black gloves, black jeans, and white and black sneakers.

 The getaway vehicle is described as a black GMC Sierra with chrome accents, chrome five-spoke wheels, and a Z71 decal on its bed.

February 14th marked the 30th anniversary of the brutal unsolved murder of Diane Dobson.

Ms. Dobson, a 36-year-old mother of three, was last seen walking down Prince Road around 5:45 p.m. on February 14, 1995. The next day, her battered body was found in a ditch at Windsor’s Brighton Beach. A preliminary investigation revealed that Ms. Dobson was violently murdered, with a blow to the head as the official cause of death.

Investigators are hopeful that developments in DNA technology may assist in solving this case.

Two heavy 12 foot gates preventing motorized vehicles from accesssing the Cypher Systems Greenway in Essex were stolen sometime between the 19th and 24th of March 2025.

Thievs used a significant amount of preparation as the removal of these gates would have required advanced tools and loading the heavy gates into a large trailer.

(LAKESHORE, ON) - Police are investigating a break-in and theft from a residence in Lakeshore.

On Friday, March 7, 2025, at approximately 3:27 p.m., four individuals attended a residence on Daniela Crescent in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

The individuals arrived in a blue or dark grey SUV (possibly a Hyundai Sante Fe) and gained access to the house and removed numerous items. They then left in the SUV.

Suspects were described as four slim male parties who all wore surgical masks and dark baseball caps. One suspect wore a light grey sweater and had a backpack, one wore an olive green coloured sweater and one wore a plaid shirt. and is appealing to the public for assistance to identify those responsible.

On February 27th, at 3 a.m. Windsor Police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 800 block of Campbell Ave.  A female suspect entered the business armed with a handgun, threatening an employee and demanding money. The suspect fled the scene after obtaining currency, cigarettes, and lighters.

On January 9 and 10th, a male and female suspect attended three retail stores across Windsor. The pair used over $5,000 in counterfeit U.S. $50 bills to purchase items and received Canadian currency in change, bringing the total value of goods and currency received to more than $5,900.

The suspects are believed to be driving a white sports utility vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Atlas or Tiguan.

Sometime January 2 and January 3, 2025, unknown individual(s) attended the property and stole a Yurt.
