LASALLE POLICE INVESTIGATE BANK ROBBERY

The LaSalle Police Service is actively investigating a robbery that took place at CIBC Bank on Malden Road on September 18th, at approximately 9:45am.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5'8"with a thin build.  He was wearing sunglasses, a pull-up face mask, a grey hoodie with a black t-shirt underneath that had red trim at the bottom, black gloves and was riding a bicycle.

Amherstburg Detachment Investigating a Break and Enter

The Windsor Police - Amherstburg Criminal Investigations Division, is seeking any information that may assist with a break and enter investigation that occurred at a business located in the area of Sandwich Street North and Alma Street, on September 1st, at 4:20am.

 Through investigation, it is believed at least two suspects were involved. The suspect vehicle is described as a grey sedan, possibly with a hatchback. It is believed the suspect vehicle was in the area from at least 2:45 am until the break and enter occurred.

SURVEILLANCE PHOTOS RELEASED IN ARSON INVESTIGATION

Windsor Police Service Arson Investigators are seeking any information that may help identify a suspect in relation to a recent arson.

On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 5:10 am, patrol officers attended the 1600 block of McDougall Avenue for a report of an active fire at a business.

Windsor Fire and Rescue were on scene and were able to extinguish the fire, however the business sustained extensive damage.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

Through investigation, it was determined the fire was suspicious and an arson investigation was launched.

It is believed the fire started at approximately 4:50 am and the suspect was last seen walking west on Hanna Street.

The suspect is described as a male white, short dark hair, wearing a blue striped t-shirt, blue jeans, grey shoes, blue backpack and a light coloured mask.


Investigators are requesting anyone in the area with surveillance cameras, especially businesses, to check their footage for any further evidence

LAKESHORE OPP LOOKING TO IDENTIFY TRUCK THIEVES

On Tuesday, August 17th, at approximately 3:20am, Lakeshore OPP received a report of a stolen pick up truck from a residence on Oriole Park Drive.

The vehicle was then involved in a theft of fuel in Comber shortly after.

The truck has since been recovered in the 2900 block of Byng Road in the City of Windsor.

Sexual Assault Investigation

The Windsor Police Service is continuing to actively investigate a report of a sexual assault and are seeking any information in relation to the incident.

On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at approximately 12:50 am, patrol officers responded for a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the 1300 block of Windsor Avenue. The assault is reported to have occurred at approximately 12:30 am.

The adult female victim reported a small white vehicle approached her while she walking in the area and the male driver began to interact with her. It was reported that a male passenger was also in the rear of the vehicle at the time. During the course of the interaction, it is reported the driver of the vehicle sexually assaulted the female.

The driver/suspect is described as a male, possibly of middle eastern decent, small build, 6'0" tall, 30 - 40 years old, short dark hair with a scruffy face, was wearing pants and shirt, and spoke unaccented English. The passenger of the vehicle was a male.

POLICE LOOKING TO IDENTIFY FRAUD SUSPECT

The Windsor Police Service Financial Crimes Unit is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in relation to a fraud investigation.

 In June, 2021, patrol officers investigated multiple fraudulent cheques being deposited at local banking institutions.

 The incidents occurred in Windsor on May 3rd and through investigation it is believed he may have then proceeded to the London area. Investigators believe there is a strong possibility this suspect is from out of town and may have only been here a short time.

Major Crime Unit Seeking to Identify Two Suspects

The Windsor Police Service is seeking to identify two suspects in relation to a stolen vehicle that has since been recovered.

On Friday, June 18, 2021, at approximately 4:30 am, patrol officers attended a call for service for a report of an incident that resulted in a 2007, silver, Nissan Murano being stolen.

It was reported that two suspects, a male and a female, were in the area of 1800 block of Drouillard Road on foot prior to the incident. The stolen vehicle may have been in the area of Giles Boulevard West and Bruce Avenue or Erie Street and Bruce Avenue shortly after the incident. It was reported the male suspect was driving.

Suspect one is describes as a male, white, approximately 30 years, approximately 6'3", 200 lbs, wearing a black "snap-back" flat brimmed baseball hat, sunglasses on his head, a blue bandana, black hooded zip up sweater with white accents (possibly "PUMA" brand), dark coloured jeans shorts and black shoes with white soles.

Suspect two is described as a female, white, approximately 20-30 years, approximately 5'5", 120 lbs, with long red hair, wearing a black top, jeans, black shoes and carrying a black draw-string bag.

On June 24, 2021, the stolen vehicle was located in the 200 block of Watson Avenue.

Anyone with surveillance cameras in the areas the suspects were seen and in the area of the recovered vehicle are requested to check their footage for possible evidence

OPP INVESTIGATE ARSON AT A RESIDENCE

On Thursday June 17th, at approximately 2:35 a.m., members of Lakeshore OPP responded to a report of arson at a residence on Diemer Crescent.

 

Two vehicles were set ablaze, ultimately destroying the vehicles, and causing minor damage to the residence.

 

Investigation determined that three individuals were near the property and were possibly operating a red four door sedan.
