Windsor Police Request Assistance in Identifying Break and Enter Suspect

On Tuesday May 5, 2020, at approximately 6:30 am, patrol officers responded to an auto repair shop located in the 500 block of Eugenie Avenue for a report that a garage door appeared insecure and damaged.

Officers arrived and observed the garage door to have significant damage and observed other damage to the business. 

Through investigation, officers confirmed that a break and enter had occurred and a vehicle was stolen.  The stolen vehicle, a red Dodge Charger, was driven through the garage door causing the damage. 

The break and enter is believed to have occurred at approximately 6:15 am and the suspect may have been loitering in the area prior to the incident.

The suspect is described as wearing a white hooded sweater, tan pants, black running shoes and a green and black backpack.  The suspect fled the area in the stolen red Charger which had the spoiler ripped off during the incident.

At approximately 12:30 pm, the Charger was located unoccupied by patrol officers in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Marion Avenue. 

The Property Crimes Unit continues to actively investigate this incident and is seeking assistance in identifying the below pictured suspect.  Anyone who may have seen the damaged stolen Charger being driven between approximately 6:15 am and 12:30 pm is also encouraged to phone police.
