Windsor Police Investigate Homicide
On Tuesday May 12, 2020, a homicide investigation was launched after an adult male was located deceased in the area of University Avenue East and City Hall Square East.
At approximately 8:20 pm, patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Josephine Avenue in relation to a motor vehicle collision. The collision involved a red Dodge Magnum, a gray Volkswagen and two parked vehicles. Following the collision, several parties attended the area and began arguing. The group later dispersed.
Approximately an hour later at 9:20 pm, patrol officers responded to the 400 block of McDougall Street for a trouble unknown call believed to be related to the collision. While officers were en route to the area, it was reported that persons were fighting and an adult male had been stabbed.
Officers arrived and located an adult male who appeared to have been stabbed. The male was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, officers located a second adult male who was deceased in the 400 block of City Hall Square East. Officers observed the male to have obvious signs of injuries and a homicide investigation was launched.
The Major Crime Branch continues to investigate and believe the collision, stabbing and homicide may be related.
