Shots Fired Investigation

The Windsor Police Service Major Crime Unit is seeking information in relation to an investigation where several shots were fired.

On Friday, March 12, 2021, at 12:20 am, patrol officers responded to the 3400 block of Bloomfield Road for a report of shots fired in the area. It was reported that multiple gunshots were heard.

Through investigation it was learned a dark coloured Sedan was seen leaving the area on South Street driving towards Sandwich Street. This is being considered a vehicle of interest.

A second black vehicle, last seen on Bloomfield Road heading towards Prince Road, was seen in the area at the time of the incident and is also being considered a vehicle of interest.

A white male, wearing a red sweatshirt and black pants was seen running from the area, possibly in possession of a firearm.

There have been no reports of injuries as a result of the shooting.

Through investigation, officers were able to located several shell casings in the area of the shooting.

The Forensic Identification Unit attended and processed the scene.

The Major Crime Unit is asking anyone in the area with surveillance cameras to check the footage for possible evidence.
