OPP Seeking the Public's Assistance in Relation to an Incident Involving a Firearm

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is appealing to the public for assistance in what has now been confirmed as an incident involving a firearm that occurred on September 10, 2019 in or in the vicinity of the Town of McGregor. 

 At approximately 12:30 p.m., Essex County OPP officers and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the report of an injured man in a parking lot in the 9500 block of Essex County Road 11 (Walker Road).

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. 

The exact location where the offence occurred is unknown. At this stage of the investigation, there are no suspects. The victim was being transported to hospital by witnesses, when they stopped in McGregor to await the arrival of EMS. 

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident, but caution the public to always be vigilant and to immediately report suspicious behaviour to police.

Investigators are asking the driver of a small, white compact car that was driving on County Road 18 in the town of Essex between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to please contact police.  It’s believed that driver may have witnessed an exchange between the driver of a pickup truck and the driver of a van.

Can you identify these Break and Enter suspects?

On July 22nd, patrol officers attended a business located in the 1000 block of Wyandotte St E for a report of a break and enter.

The investigation revealed that a stolen vehicle drove into the building causing damage to the exterior of the business.

Video surveillance shows a male and female entering and exiting the building.

A quantity of Canadian currency was taken during the incident.

OPP request assitance with Stolen Vehicle and Credit Card

On August 13, 2019 between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. a male suspect attended a residence in the 100 block of Clovelly, in the Town of Tecumseh. The male suspect stole a Silver 2004 BMW 3XT. He also stole a Visa/Debit card and used it at 3 locations throughout the City of Windsor. Please see the attached photos.

In the early morning hours of August 7, 2019 a trailer was stolen from a premise on Brendan Lane in Oldcastle. The trailer contained 3 children’s Go-Carts, kids uniforms , helmets and other miscellaneous items.

Later in the day on August 7th, the trailer was located in LaSalle. Unfortunately the Go-Carts and contents inside the trailer were gone.

OPP in Kingsville are looking for assistance in identifing a break and enter suspect

Kingsville OPP are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a break and enter that occurred on July 23rd, 2019 at approximately 10:45 p.m.  A male suspect forced entry into the hardware store on Main Street in the Town of Kingsville.  Several cordless drills and grinders (various brands) were taken.

Three Break and Enters - Sam's Shell in Kingsville

OPP is seeking information on three break and enters that occurred over the past three months at the Sam’s Shell gas station in Kingsville, ON.
