Major Crime Branch Investigates Home Invasion - Robbery

On Tuesday June 16, 2020, at approximately 11:00 am patrol officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Riberdy Road for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

It was reported that three male suspects entered the residence and an adult male was assaulted during the incident.  Property belonging to the victim was also taken.

No injuries were reported.

Surveillance footage was obtained and investigators are seeking any information that may assist in identifying the three pictured suspects.

LEAMINGTON OPP INVESTIGATING ROBBERY

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – On June 23, 2020 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Leamington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members were dispatched to the report of a robbery at a convenience store on Seacliff Drive West

The suspect was described as female, white, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, wearing a white hooded sweater, a red face covering leaving only her eyes exposed, dark pants and wearing a camouflaged backpack. 

The suspect entered the store, selected items and proceeded to the front counter where she passed a note to the clerk.  The suspect brandished a weapon during the interaction and left the store with a small amount of cash and other merchandise. 

There were no injuries reported and the suspect was last observed fleeing the area on foot.

OPP Investigating Two Separate Thefts in the Town of Lakeshore

The OPP are requesting the public’s assistance in relation to two thefts in the Town of Lakeshore.

Sometime between June 7th and June 11th, a black flatbed trailer (8ft x 32ft) was stolen from a location in the 20000 block of County Road 42, in the Town of Lakeshore. Please see the photo below of this trailer.

Further, another theft occurred sometime between June 13th and June 14th, wherein a John Deere Tractor (model 3720) was taken from a property on Byrnedale Road, in the Town of Lakeshore. This John Deere Tractor also had a front loader on it and also a blue, possibly Ford rotary lawn mower attached to the 3 point hitch on the backside. Please see the photo below.

OPP Request the Public's Assistance in Identifying a Male Suspect in a Gas Drive-Off

The OPP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect in the below photo. This male attended a gas station in the Town of Comber on June 15th. He filled his black Dodge Ram 1500 with fuel and made no attempt to pay. Vehicle did not have a front plate.

Male is described as a white male wearing sunglasses and a surgical mask. He also has a tattoo on his right arm.

OPP Investigating Two Break and Enters in the Town of Kingsville

Sometime between 5:00 p.m. on June 7th and 7:00 a.m. on June 8th, suspects attended a property in the 1200 block of County Road 18 East, and entered a dwelling for the purpose of stealing property in excess of $16,000.00.

Also, sometime between 7:30 p.m. on June 8th and 9:00 a.m. on June 9th, suspects attended a property in the 1700 block of Kratz Side Road. Once again the dwelling at this location was entered into and several items were stolen with a value of around $ 1,700.00.

These two incidents are believed to be done by the same suspects. Several items were taken, more particularly construction tools, computer equipment, etc.

Windsor Police Investigating Shots Fired on Everts Avenue

On Saturday June 13th, at approximately 5:30 am, shots were fired at a residence in the 1600 block of Everts Avenue.

Several occupants were inside the residence at the time of the incident however, no injuries were reported.

Two suspects, wearing black hooded sweaters, black pants, and white running shoes, were seen fleeing the area on foot after the shots were fired.  They were last seen running southbound on Everts Avenue and then westbound onto Totten Street. 

Anyone living in the area who may have video surveillance is encouraged to review their footage and contact police with any information.

OPP SEEK THE PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING A MALE SUSPECT FOR A THEFT OF LOTTERY TICKETS.

On June 1st, 2020, Essex County OPP were dispatched to a theft at a convenience store at around 1:45 a.m.

The Tecumseh OPP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male party responsible for the theft. Please see the photo below of this suspect. Windsor Police Require Assistance in Identifying A Male Suspect Involved In A Sexual Assault Investigation

On Thursday May 28, 2020, at approximately 11:50 pm, patrol officers responded to a report of an assault that had just occurred in the area of Riverside Drive West and California Avenue.

An adult female victim reported she was walking alone along the riverfront near Patricia Avenue and was attacked from behind with no warning, causing her to fall to the ground. During the assault the victim was bit.

The victim received minor injuries and did not require medical attention. 

The victim was able to scream for assistance and the suspect fled the area.  The suspect was last seen running up the hill from the riverfront towards Patricia Avenue.

The suspect is described as a male black, 25-30 years old, wearing a black hooded sweater, loose black pants and a black baseball hat.  The suspect was also described as running very fast away from the scene.

The Major Crime Branch is actively investigating this incident and believes this to be a random incident where the victim and suspect were not known to each other. 

Anyone living in the area who may have video surveillance equipment is asked to check their footage for any suspects that may match the description.  Also, anyone who may have been driving in the area and captured footage that matches the suspect description on a dash cam are encouraged to contact police. 

The incident occurred just prior to midnight, however as the suspect was believed to be on foot, he may have been walking in the area prior to and after the incident.
