HOME INVASION IN LEAMINGTON

On Saturday, February 24th, at approximately 5:46 p.m., Leamington OPP responded to a home invasion on Talbot Street West, in the Municipality of Leamington.

 It was determined that three individuals attended a residence and forcibly gained entry. Once inside, two occupants of the home were assaulted by the suspects.

The three suspects then fled from the home in a white Ram 1500 pick up truck, with “Green Landscaping Plus”, written on the side.

 The suspects are all described as white males, with one wearing a construction vest and dark boots.

SUSPECT WANTED FOR ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s help to identify a male suspect wanted for assault with a weapon.

On February 10th, shortly before 3 a.m., the suspect approached a person who was delivering newspapers to a business in the 1200 block of Ouellete Ave. The suspect threatened the individual with a knife before fleeing the scene. The victim was not physically injured.

WINDSOR POLICE SEEK FRAUD SUSPECTS

The Windsor Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted for theft and fraud.

In early January, the female suspect stole a person’s purse, which contained debit and credit cards, from a shopping cart at a store in the 3000 block of Howard Ave. The male suspect then used the stolen cards to make fraudulent purchases at several different locations.

The female suspect is described as white, 45-50 years old, with a medium build. At the time of the incident, she wore a black winter hat, grey and brown scarf, black winter vest, and grey sweater with black boots. She is wanted for theft under $5,000.

The male suspect is described as white, 25-30 years old, with a large build. At the time of the incident, he wore a black toque, black jacket, black pants, and a blue medical mask. He also spoke with a European accent. He is wanted for fraud under $5,000, unauthorized use of credit card data, using a credit card obtained by crime, and possession of property obtained by crime.

INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO WEST-END SHOOTING LAST SPRING

The Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate a shooting on the city’s west side last spring.

On May 3, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report that a person had been shot in the 1700 block of Tecumseh Road West. Officers located a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his right arm.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male aged between 18 to 30 years old. He wore black clothing and a surgical mask at the time of the incident. He may have fled the scene in a 2011-2014 model white Dodge Charger.

WINDSOR POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN VEHICLE THEFT

On August 14, 2023, shortly after 10 a.m., officers were called to a business in the 300 block of Riverside Drive East for a report of motor vehicle theft. Officers learned that a suspect stole a van from a parking garage as well as multiple items from the vehicle. The suspect later left the vehicle at a nearby parking lot, where it was recovered and returned to its owner.

Officers have obtained video surveillance of the suspect. He is described as a white male, between 55 and 65 years old, approximately 5’8”, with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he wore a blue baseball hat, glasses, a blue patterned tank top, and blue jeans.

SUSPECT WANTED IN BREAK AND ENTER

Case #: 23-82006

On July 19, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., the suspect used a tool to break the rear door and unlawfully enter a business in the 7500 block of Tecumseh Rd. E. Once inside, the suspect stole $500 from the cash register and then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40-50 years old, with a heavy build and a tattoo on his right upper bicep. Video surveillance of the suspect can be located on Windsor Police Service Facebook.

ASSAULT IN DOWNTOWN WINDSOR


The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s help to identify multiple suspects after two people were assaulted in the 700 block of Bruce Avenue, on Sunday June 25th, shortly before 1am.

Through investigation, officers learned that during a verbal altercation with a large group of teenagers, a 26-year-old female was sprayed in the face with an inflammatory agent and a 26-year-old male was shot multiple times in the chest with a BB gun. The suspects also used bricks to smash several windows at the victims’ residence.

The two victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The first suspect is described as a white male. At the time of the incident, he wore a dark t-shirt with a logo on the chest, dark pants and white shoes.
The second suspect is described as a white male. At the time of the incident, he wore a dark long sleeve shirt or coat with white horizontal stripes on the back and dark pants with a white stripe on the right leg.
The third suspect is described as a white male. At the time of the incident, he wore a white t-shirt and dark pants.
The fourth suspect is a male. At the time of the incident, he wore a black t-shirt and white shoes.
The fifth suspect is a male. At the time of the incident, he wore a black long sleeve shirt and light-coloured pants.

Armed Robberies in Lasalle and Windsor

The Windsor Police Service and the Lasalle Police Service are currently investigating after two businesses were robbed at knifepoint by what is believed to be by the same suspect.

On Thursday, May 11th, at approximately 9:30PM, LaSalle Police responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store in the 2000 block of Sandwich West Parkway.

The following morning, at approximately 10AM, Windsor Police also responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store in the 300 block of Mill Street.

POLICE SEEKING SUSPECT IN WEST-END SHOOTING

The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred in the city’s west side.


Last night, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report that a person had been shot in the area of the 1700 block of Tecumseh Road West. Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his right arm. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Through investigation, officers learned that the suspect cornered the victim, shot him, and fled the scene on foot going east on Tecumseh Rd. W. Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident. 


The suspect is a black male, approximately 18 to 30 years old. At the time of the incident, the suspect wore all-black clothing and a blue surgical mask. 


Investigators are asking everyone in the area to check their surveillance and dashcam footage for any evidence between 10 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4830.
