Reminder to Lock It or Lose It from Crime Stoppers
With the current stay at home orders in place, Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers would like to remind the public to lock their vehicles, even in their driveways.
“In the last week we have seen a number of vehicles broken into, we have to remember to stay vigilant during these times. Criminals have more free time and will be looking for easy opportunities. Remember that Crime Stoppers is still here and ready to take your information anonymously 24/7,” advised Constable Tim Harrington, Windsor Police Service Coordinator for Crime Stoppers. “We want people to know that if they know something, they have an opportunity to saying something without fear of repercussions.”
In an effort to assist our police partners, Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers would like to remind you have calling in anonymous information is still available. Simply put, if you see something, say something.
Crime Stoppers is still offering cash rewards of up to $2,000 for information given. Last year alone, over $35,000 was approved in payouts.
Anyone who has information in Windsor and Essex County and wish to remain anonymous are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or submit a tip online at www.catchcrooks.com.
